Vision and Mission

Our Vision

Love God and Love One Another

At St Matthew’s Church, our vision is simple: to grow in our love for God and to let that love shape the way we love one another. We desire to be a Christ-centred community where people of every generation can worship, belong, grow and serve together.

Our Mission

D.A.R.E. to Advance the Kingdom of God

We believe God has called St Matthew’s Church to D.A.R.E. in the advancement of His Kingdom.

D — Disciple

To make and grow disciples of Jesus who follow Him faithfully and help others do the same.
Matthew 28:18–20

A — Abide

To remain deeply connected to Christ, knowing that lasting spiritual life and fruitfulness flow from Him.
John 15:5

R — Reach Out

To carry the good news of Jesus beyond our church walls into our community, our nation and wherever God sends us.
Acts 1:8

E — Exalt

To glorify God in our worship, our lives and all that we do, inviting others to magnify the Lord together with us.
Psalm 34:3

Through discipleship, abiding, outreach and worship, we seek to become a church that loves God wholeheartedly, loves people genuinely and faithfully plays our part in advancing His Kingdom.
