CARE & HELP
Bereavement Support
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?’”
– John 11:25-26
As part of our Bereavement Support, we offer assistance in arranging the wake and funeral services for PLMC members.
To inform us, please call the church office 6285 1234 during office hours, and after office hours.
Counselling
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” – John 10:10
The Counselling Ministry in STTC provides confidential and compassionate counselling services to help individuals and families through life’s challenges. Whether you are dealing with personal struggles, relationship issues, anxiety or grief, our counsellors are here to listen and support you on your journey toward healing and growth. We provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can find healing, guidance, and hope. Through personalised care and biblical principles, we aim to help you navigate difficult circumstances and restore emotional and spiritual well-being.
Our counselling service is free and is provided by appointment only at our church premises.

- Hospitalisation
- Bereavement
- Undergoing prolonged therapy and treatment for illness.
- Facing terminal illness
- Death of a loved one
- Experiencing grief and loss
- Being homebound and no longer able to come to church
Pastoral care and support is extended through:
- Hospital visits
- Wake visits and services
- Monthly communion being served to members who are homebound
- Regular conversations and prayer support over video calls, phone calls or online when ongoing supportive presence is needed.
Spiritual Formation
The Christian life is a life of ongoing inner transformation by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of Christ, thus reflecting the glory of God. This process of transformation is known as spiritual formation.
The Spiritual Formation ministry offers opportunities to learn, experience and embrace spiritual practices that help us to be open and receptive to the transforming grace of the Holy Spirit in our inner being, and, in the process, one’s relationship with God is nurtured and deepened. Some of these spiritual practices include the practice of prayer, listening to God through Scriptures, silence, solitude, faith sharing, journaling and the practice of receiving spiritual direction.
These opportunities are offered periodically through :
- Spiritual formation courses
- Quiet Mornings and Quiet Days with the Lord
- Retreat in Daily Life
- Overnight Silent Retreats (for groups or the individual)
- Monthly Spiritual Direction (the practice of meeting up with a trained companion to reflect on how God is active and present in your life for the purpose of deepening one’s relationship with God)
Look out for the above in the weekly highlights and announcements.
Prayer Request
Prayer is a form of conversation. Just like you speak to someone you love and trust, you speak to God the same way.
God loves you and He wants a relationship with you. If you have a need or know of someone in need, please email info@stthomaschurch.org.
If you need someone to pray with you, you can also approach any of our pastors and leaders at the end our Sunday services.
